Members of the National Association of Professional Women Greensboro, NC Local Chapter held the spotlight at the September networking meeting as they showcased their businesses.

Members and guests of the NAPW Greensboro, NC Local Chapter gathered on September 10th at South University for a professional networking meeting.
Eleven members experienced the power of networking as they held the spotlight and showcased their businesses to the group of professional women at the monthly event.
To kick off the meeting, Greensboro Chapter President Teresa Bailey welcomed all of the attendees, including the newest Chapter members.
She spoke to the group about all that NAPW offers, such as educational resources, a monthly newsletter, online networking and exclusive access to NAPW.com. The possibilities are endless, she told the women.
“Members reflected on how little they really knew about all that NAPW has to offer and expressed interest in having a meeting entirely dedicated to showing them around the website, what NAPW offered in regards to training, etc.,“ said President Bailey.
The meeting was then turned over to Kathy Frazier who explained the September Chapter meeting would be about the “Power of Networking.” She encouraged members to share their “stories” and showcase their businesses with the audience.
The following members presented: Elizabeth Holleman; Works for Aladdin Travel and offers services for professional and personal travel. She is located in Greensboro but has a corporate office in Winston Salem and is happy to assist companies or individuals.
Pamela J. Van Nutt; Pamela is a professor at National College in Martinsville, VA. She asked the group questions regarding the possibility of purchasing a Curves franchise. Members were very helpful in directing and offering their expertise and knowledge.
Kerstin Haase; Works at Enovate. Kerstin explained that Enovate and CDW collaborate to meet Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital’s point-of-care needs. Kerstin also conveyed that Stinger Medical is merging with Enovate.
“Customers of Enovate Medical will gain an expanded product offering that spans a complete continuum of patient care and will better support their IT needs, as well as expanded sales and support staff to better serve customers' needs quickly. The combined portfolios will offer a complete line of mobile work stations, wall stations, wall arms and medication transfer and exchange services.”
Corliss McGinty; Also known as “HR Momma,” she focuses on how softer skills can affect change. Soft Solutions offers HR consulting, leadership development and personal development. Corliss believes her heart for people is well-balanced with her head for business. She conveyed that she wants to “work less and make more!”
Sally Newman; Sally works with manufacturing companies in Rockingham County to provide state training at no cost to the employer.
She explained that she can’t cross county lines in her offerings; however, she prides herself on partnering and offering leadership and mechanical training for her employers.
Kathy Frazier; Kathy has a Ph.D. in counseling. She served in the Army and provided inpatient and outpatient counseling to Army members. She then went into the medical sales field where she worked for 11 years and was involved in emotional intelligence training. She currently teaches at GTCC.
Olivia Martin; Olivia and her daughter own and operate Community Health Care, which provides in-home assistance to disabled children, adults and elderly persons with physical, mental, financial and social and environmental conditions. Services rendered offer an improved quality of life for clients.
Bernadette Trinidad; President & CEO of Crutchfield Advertising. Bernadette has over 20 years of experience in the advertising industry. She is a native New Yorker and began her journey in the ad business. She joined Crutchfield Advertising in 2006, managing the full operations of the agency and in 2009 was promoted to managing partner.
Upon the agency founder’s passing, she became president & CEO. Today, Bernadette shares the joy of working closely with staff members to transform creative ideas into great client solutions.
Marjorie Yokeley has worked for AT&T for the past 35 years. She moved here from Michigan in 1980 and has been through all the de-regulations of the telephone industry. She has had the privilege of working at home for the past ten years and joined NAPW to network and “get out of the house and meet other professional women.”
Erin Stone works for a high-end textile maker of fabrics (Jab Anstroetz). She went straight from college working for them and enjoys traveling for a German-based company.
Teresa Bailey gave a brief overview of her career and explained if anyone is in need of employment law advice, HR consulting or job networking, she has a great network built and will be happy to assist members in their needs.
The next Greensboro Chapter meeting will be on October 8th at 5:30pm, at South University, Hwy. 68, High Point, NC, where all future Chapter meetings will be held. Corliss McGinty will explore securing a speaker on body language.
Teresa also suggested that the Chapter starts a book swap at monthly meetings where members can bring their favorite book to share and swamp with other members.
