This is Exeter -- Exeter School was celebrating recently after getting three teams into the National Indoor Hockey Finals. The under-16 girls' and boys' teams as well as the under-18 boys have qualified for the competition to be played between January 10-12. The under-16 girls played King's Bruton in their area final, losing on penalty flicks but qualifying regardless. Their squad was made up of Molly Tetten, Abby Pelling, Rebecca Richardson, Sophie Jefferson, Imogen Milner, Harriet Milner and Olivia Zeigler-Evans. The under-18 boys played some attractive, fast-flowing interplay and scored some memorable goals. Robin Toulalan Parr was exceptional in goal, supported by a strong defence of Marcus Hoddinott and Nick Fennel. The attack was spearheaded by Harry Skinner, Tom Poustie, Anthony Dibble and Mike Walker, who were fierce and committed in the opposition's D. The under-16s boys began their defence of their national indoor title at Wellington School on December 8. In a round-robin tournament, Exeter scored 16 goals and conceded just three. Paddy Poustie protected his goal brilliantly with Jamie Telford, George Hoult and Chris Richardson defending ahead of him. Matt Marsh and Luke Crocker constantly battled against opposition full-backs, setting up goal chance after goal chance. Ed Starling, Josh Hanna and Tom Edgington created space in the D to make the most of these opportunities.
