Authorities in Tampa say they have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with a triple killing they believe was the result of family custody issues.
Angel Luis Perez was arrested early Saturday and will face three counts of first-degree murder as well as charges of armed burglary and kidnapping, according to Tampa Bay police.
Police said Perez forcibly entered a home before 2 a.m. Saturday where he shot and killed his 25-year-old brother-in-law, George Gort, and 23-year-old Brittany Snyder.
As Perez entered his vehicle, he then got into a confrontation with 22-year old girlfriend Olivia Miller and shot her, authorities said.
Perez drove Miller to Tampa General Hospital where she died. He was taken into custody there.
CBS affiliate WTSP-TV reports according to preliminary investigation, the motive was domestic related over Perez's 3-year-old nephew and family custody issues.
