What You Need To Know About The 'Bachelor'-Inspired 'Law & Order: SVU' Episode

Olivia Benson, meet Chris Harrison.

At long last, the "Law & Order: SVU" and romance reality TV mashup you've been waiting for is here. The episode, called "Assaulting Reality," will air on Wednesday, May 11, and it's definitely going to be a good one.

The episode revolves around a reality show contestant on the dating show "Heart's Desire" who claims she was raped, which is when* *SVU steps in to investigate. Given the success of the series' take on the Duggars' scandal in November, this episode will most likely bring in high ratings for the show.
The Huffington Post got the chance to visit the "SVU" set when NBC began filming the episode in March, and let us tell you -- the "Bachelor" resemblance is uncanny.

For starters, there's a Chris Harrison-like character named Johnny Valentine running the show who liberally throws out the word "dramatic" much like Harrison would. He also asks creepy questions about each woman's "Dream Suite"* *(aka "Fantasy Suite") date nights.

The scene is also set very much like a classic "Girls Tell All" episode of "The Bachelor." The cheesy logo, roses, flickering candles and girls in high heels and club dresses only add to the realness of "Heart's Desire."

The other women also boo and cheer certain "leading" contestants on the show, one of whom, named Melanie, is a virgin (something we've seen on past "Bachelor" season). Melanie is pitted against the vampy Gigi on the show, and later claims she was raped.
Look out for guest appearances from three familiar faces -- Larisa Oleynik, Michael Gross and Wendie Malick. The latter two will be playing the power couple behind "Heart's Desire."  *"Law & Order: SVU" airs on NBC Wednesday, May 11, at 9 p.m. EST.*
