Patch Holmdel-Hazlet, NJ --Six Holmdel residents and six Hazlet residents were honored for more than a combined 500 hours of service volunteering for the Monmouth County Parks System.
The volunteers were honored on March 3 at the Annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony at Hominy Hill Golf Course. Volunteers in the park system around the county logged over 27,000 hours of service.
“Your support contributes to the success of our recreation programs, special events and park facilities on many levels," said Coordinator of Volunteers Melissa Kelly.
Volunteers log hours as trip leaders, cleaning historical sites, building and maintaining the trails in Monmouth County, and maintaining natural resources, according to a county news release.
