Olivia Bondi, an eighth grader at Peters Township Middle School, recently qualified for the IEA Hunt Seat National Finals in Syracuse, N.Y. and will compete in the Future Novice Over Fences division.
Olivia, her coach Becki Bloom, and fellow team member Annabelle LaRosa will
attend the finals April 19 through April 21.
Bondi rides for the Western Pennsylvania Equestrian Team, which is a member of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association. IEA athletes compete on a team and individual basis in the Hunt Seat discipline. The team is coached by Becki Bloom and rides out of Bloomfield Stables in Belle Vernon, PA.
The mission of the IEA is to introduce students in private and public middle and secondary schools to equestrian sports and to promote and improve the quality of equestrian competition and instruction.
