This is Essex --A FAMILY are appealing to anyone who might know the whereabouts of their missing dog.
Olivia Chittenden, and her 12-year-old daughter Harriet, from Purleigh believe their border terrier Doris was stolen from their house on Howler Green Road last week after she went missing from their garden.
Olivia, 30, returned from picking her daughter up from school on the afternoon of Monday 29 when the two-year-old dog was allowed into the garden with several others owned by the family but she never came back.
"Doris is really my daughter's dog and she's desperate to find her. We're also so worried as she suffers from a heart condition that's caused her to collapse before," said Olivia, a dog groomer, "I've tried everything to find her. I've reported it to the police, put up posters everywhere but we haven't heard anything yet. I believe someone has taken her as its happened to several people recently in the same area, particularly with working dogs being taken."
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
