Patch Dedham, MA --Edward J. Stevens of Walpole, formerly of Harwich and Dedham, died on May 5, 2013, at the age of 84.
He was beloved husband of Catherine A. (Foley) Stevens, devoted father of Mary T. Moran and her husband James of Walpole, James P. Stevens and his wife Paula of Plainville and the late Edward G. Stevens, brother of the late Helen Roskowski, cherished grandfather of Sean M. Moran and his wife Laura of Burlington, James E. Moran of Walpole, Matthew S. Moran and his wife Elizabeth of Franklin, Daniel J. Stevens and Kevin M. Stevens both of Plainville, great grandfather of Olivia C. Moran, son of the late Michael J. and Anna (Kabot) Skryzpinski.
Edward was a graduate of Boston English High School. He then went on to graduate from Northeastern University and then received his Master's Degree at MIT.
The funeral will be from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., Norwood, Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in St. Denis Church Westwood. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, W. Roxbury. He was a WWII US Army Veteran.
