The name Jacob was, for the 14th consecutive year, the most popular name for baby boys, according to the Social Security Administration's list of the 10 most popular names for 2012.
Sophia remained the top name for baby girls for the second year.
Rounding out the top five boys' names were Mason, Ethan, Noah and William. The Nos. 2 through 5 spots for girls' names were Emma, Isabella, Olivia and Ava.
