Topazery Spotlights Emerald Accent Engagement Ring Like the One Jason Sudeikis Recently Gave Olivia Wilde

Jason Sudeikis may be known for his off-the-wall comedy antics, but there’s nothing to laugh about when it comes to his choice for an engagement ring for Olivia. In honor of the couple's recent engagement, Topazery has selected for its June spotlight piece, a vintage engagement ring similar to the ring Jason chose for Olivia.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 29, 2013

Earlier this year, when “Saturday Night Live” funnyman Jason Sudeikis proposed to his actress girlfriend Olivia Wilde, he did so with an engagement ring featuring an emerald halo. In honor of the celebrity couple’s impending nuptials, antique jewelry boutique Topazery has chosen an emerald accent engagement ring as its June spotlight piece.

When “People” magazine broke the news of the engagement in mid January, there was “no word yet on a wedding date.” Earlier this month, however, Sudeikis wrapped up his eighth and potentially last season of SNL. Perhaps that break from taping will free him up to set the big day in stone.

In the meantime, if “Glamour” magazine’s reader reactions are any indication, Wilde’s ring is exquisite. In an online feature titled “5 To-Die-For Vintage Engagement Rings Inspired by … Olivia Wilde’s!” Glamour’s wedding blogger pointed out, “Even those of you who feel so-so about engagement rings in halo settings were pretty nutso for Olivia Wilde’s brand-new engagement bling from Jason Sudeikis which features an emerald halo.”

The columnist then went on to speculate, “I’m guessing Olivia’s ring is vintage, because I had a really hard time digging up look-alike rings, and ALL the rings I found with emerald halos are vintage.”When Topazery learned of Glamour’s difficulty in finding a similar engagement ring, the online boutique reviewed their online jewelry collection. And sure enough, one vintage engagement ring was a close match.

“Although our June spotlight piece is not an emerald halo ring per se, it does feature emeralds scattered around the centerpiece diamond solitaire, just like Olivia Wilde’s does Topazery spokesperson Jan Walden explains. Indeed, the emerald accent engagement ring Walden selected is an Art Deco antique ring in platinum with four triangular step cut emeralds accenting an old mine cut diamond.

Two of the five rings “Glamour” singled in its blog feature out also happened to be Art Deco ones. “That doesn’t surprise me,” says Walden. “The Art Deco period produced dazzling jewelry that would naturally appeal to celebrity tastes . Also, emeralds, along with sapphires and rubies, became the gems of choice in Art Deco jewelry.”

For more information on how to pull off an engagement with a celebrity-inspired engagement ring, contact Jan Walden at (678) 528-8901. *Horton Hatches the Egg*

* *

*Oh, the Places You’ll Go*

* *

By Dr. Seuss

For ages 3-7, 4-8, 4-9

When it comes to new readers, we’ve got two words for you: Dr. Seuss.  His beginner books (like Green Eggs and Ham) are not only comical adventures, but also great confidence-builders as brand new readers master them and can read them on their own.  And what proud reader wouldn’t want to know Sam-I-Am (who definitely, absolutely, never wants green eggs and ham)?

As kids improve their reading skills, they’ll find reward in Seuss’s classic picture books. Yes, the language is often complicated, but it is always silly and fun. Horton Hatches the Egg is a great place to start because there are loving lessons in the values of persistence and kindness in this story of the elephant who is faithful, 100 percent.

If you want to give a child a pat on the back—along with a gentle push to move on—try Oh, the Places You’ll Go! It is wise, optimistic, filled with encouragement, and great fun to read.

WATCH: Is Synchronized Swimming Making A Comeback?!

The Portland-bred band Y La Bamba is paying tribute to the aquatic arts in their newest music video, "Ponce Pilato." In it, the indie folk sextet recruited local experimental dance group The Olivia Darlings to demonstrate the obscure art of synchronized swimming. Shot with a 16mm camera amongst the Redwoods and the Puget Sound, the gorgeous short film is an ode to natural beauty and the quirky wonders of the Pacific Northwest.

In a move that could be straight out of a Portlandia sketch, The Olivia Darlings recently started a Kickstarter devoted to distributing over 100 "Aquatic Art" kits to community pools and swimming organizations across the country. The kits contain the necessary training materials novice synchronized swimmers would need to jump start a troop in their community.

The Y La Bamba video, which pays tribute to the legendary late actress and swimmer, Esther Williams, was just another way for The Olivia Darlings to get their message out to budding water ballerinas everywhere. "By showcasing synchronized swimming in nature we hope it will make people think twice the next time they drive past a river," the group writes on their Kickstarter page. "We hope it leads to intense daydreams... that inspire and spawn more-and-more amazing aquatic artists!"

Watch the video above to hear "Ponce Pilato," a single off Y La Bamba's record, "Court the Storm." For more on the Olivia Darlings, check out the group's Kickstarter here and see their video below. Reported by Huffington Post 3 days ago.

Red Carpet Confidential: Chace Crawford Reveals His Favorite Date-Night Spot! Despite reports that *Chace Crawford* is serious about his relationship with Canadian model Rachelle Goulding, he might be one to check the “it’s complicated” box on Facebook.

When asked about his status Thursday during the Skyy Vodka Yacht Party to kick off the Governors Ball Music Festival in NYC, the former Gossip Girl star, 27, isn’t sure whether he is single or attached before he boards the boat where guests include Twilight's *Anna Kendrick* and socialite *Olivia Palermo*.

“I don’t know, to be honest,” charming Chace says.

Remembering his last great date proves difficult.

“It might have been a while since I took someone on a romantic date,” the actor says. “I’ll do a nice Mexican food dinner here and there.”

Where’s his favorite spot?

“Take me to La Esquina,” he says. “It’s one of my favorite places here in town. It looks like a grungy taco diner. I don’t like tequila as much as I like vodka, but they have a tequila bar, and they have great tacos and little tapas things. It’s good. It’s underground, good music. It’s great!”

*OK! GALLERY: CHACE CRAWFORD IS A HOT BUSINESSMAN FILMING GOSSIP GIRL IN NYC*

But that’s not all.

“If she showed up with two tickets to the Governors Ball, I wouldn’t be too unimpressed with that,” he tells me. “That’d be nice.”

When it comes to his perfect woman, he prefers blondes, like ex *Carrie Underwood*, whom he dated in 2008.

“It doesn’t get much cuter than *Alicia Silverstone* in Clueless,” he admits.

As far as dealbreakers?

“As long as they’re wearing clothes, that’s a good one!”

Ladies, there’s one caveat, though.

The actor is mulling a move to Los Angeles from the Big Apple as he seeks new employment.

“Oh, [I’d love to work with] mainly anyone who would give me a job,” he says. “There’s a ton of great opportunities now with the way HBO is going, and all these great independent films.”

*OK! GALLERY: CHACE CRAWFORD BEGINS PROMOTIONS FOR WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU’RE EXPECTING*

Still, it isn’t a done deal yet.

“I’m transitioning,” he says. “I might move out to L.A., but I’m looking for every excuse to stay in NYC, if I could, but we’ll see. I have no idea. I might extend my lease. We’ll see.”

*OK! GALLERY: SEE PHOTOS OF CARRIE UNDERWOOD, LEIGHTON MEESTER, OLIVIA PALERMO AND MORE IN THE VALERIE GALLERY*

How would he get there?

“I’ll jog as fast as possible, and we’ll see how far that gets me,” he yuks.

While on the cruise, Chace reunites with What To Expect When You’re Expecting co-star Anna. They laugh and chat all night, and even play ping pong together. Turns out, she had never played ping-pong, and Chace showed her how the game works!

Hm, Anna will be living in NYC this summer—could they have a future together?

Olivia Munn Partners With Rainbow Light To Support Oklahoma Disaster Relief Oklahoma native *Olivia Munn* went back to her roots on Saturday, June 8, partnering with *Rainbow Light*, a natural vitamins company, to support disaster relief for the victims of the tornadoes in Moore, Okla.

*Photos: 10 Best Celebrity Guests on 'New Girl'*

The Newsroom star joined the company in visiting the grief-stricken area to deliver Rainbow Light Protein Energeizers, a whole-food, brown rice plant protein shake that mixes easily into water, juice or milk, providing much-needed nutrtition to those in need. Valued at $25,000, the donation was given to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma for distribution.

Olivia met six-year-old Kaylee, the daughter of food bank worker Maria Sanchez, who was in the Plaza Towers Elementary School that was hit directly by the EF5 tornado on May 20. She survived the horrific natural disaster because of the quick thinking by her teacher, who laid across several students to keep them safe.

'Scandal': Who's Your Mama, Olivia Pope?

We adore "Scandal," and we're not alone -- Vulture has given Shonda Rhimes' hit ABC drama not one but two huge honors: Most Improved Show and Most Delightfully Batshit Show of the Year.

Vulture caught up with star Guillermo Diaz to talk about going dark and being method to play hired gunman-turned-fixer Huck, and he admits he's with the fans being constantly surprised by the show's many crazy twists, turns and shocking reveals.

After the Season 2 finale's biggest cliffhanger reveal -- that (spoiler alert!) the head of B-613, the man we'd seen scheming against Olivia Pope all season long, is actually her father -- Diaz wonders who they'll cast to play her mother.

"Our show does a lot of flashbacks, so I'm excited to see if they do some flashbacks with Olivia and her B-613 dad, what their relationship was really like," Diaz said. "Imagine the mom. They haven't even touched on the mom yet! Maybe Angela Bassett could be the mom. That would be cool." Reported by Huffington Post 3 days ago.
